Jessica had soul crippling tragedy in her life. Over time she learned to use her writing to recover and reassert control. Her words resonated with me. In her book Rewrite Your Life, Lourey suggests you take a moment in your life that haunts you and fictionalize it, work through it, perhaps change the result. If you are a writer in the South East region, you won’t want to miss her workshop in February. You will be amazed at how it helps add depth to your characters and how it changes how you view your life.
Jessica Lourey, a multi-genre author and creative writing professor, will present “Write and Sell your Novel: From Idea to Publication.” Appearing courtesy of Sisters in Crime’s Speak Bureau, the event will be held at The Decatur Library (Decatur, GA) on Saturday, February 10th from 8:30-4:00. The $40 registration fee includes all materials, lunch, and refreshments. Sisters in Crime members receive a $10 discount. Reserve a copy of her book “Rewrite Your Life” for $10 with your online registration Register at www.SinCAtlanta.com/Workshop. Space limited to the first 50 who register.
